It began with eggs. In my job as manager of a San Juan Island bed & breakfast, I also managed 180 laying hens, and even a 10-room inn could not keep up with that kind of production. So pasta equipment was located and San Juan Pasta Company was born. In 2010, San Juan Pasta moved from the b&b kitchen to our new Friday Harbor kitchen, still on beautiful San Juan Island.
Our team is small, local, and dedicated to making good food with robust flavors and real nutritional value using the best ingredients we can find, locally and regionally. Our customers find us every Saturday at the San Juan Island Farmers Market and many Sundays at Edison Farmers Market in Skagit Valley, Wa. We’re featured in many fine dining restaurants on San Juan and Orcas Island, in Puget Sound off the coast of Washington.
On a small island, most residents have more than one role to fill. My other roles are local voice teacher and choir director, so it was not long before I acquired a nickname: Pasta Diva. I am proud of our products. I believe we make great food, and I’m sure that you will enjoy it.
Good food makes a meal. Great food makes a memory.
